About Me
Growing up in Villach, Austria, the mountains were never just a backdrop—they were my playground, my classroom, and ultimately the place where I felt most at home. I started hiking and climbing at a young age, but it was ski touringthat truly captured my imagination. It combines everything I love: moving through wild landscapes, exploring remote mountains, and earning every descent.
While studying psychology in Vienna, I discovered another passion: understanding how people grow and change. Today, alongside my work as an IFMGA mountain guide, I also work as a person-centred psychotherapist. These two professions may seem very different, but for me they are closely connected. Both are about finding direction, building trust, overcoming challenges and discovering new perspectives—whether in the mountains or in everyday life.
In 2009, I qualified as a state-certified IFMGA mountain and ski guide. Since then, I have had the privilege of guiding people professionally throughout the Alps and, above all, in the spectacular mountains of Northern Norway.
Why the Lyngen Alps?
My first visit to the Lyngen Alps in 2012 changed something. What began as professional curiosity soon became a lasting connection.
Today, my girlfriend lives in Lyngen, and I spend a large part of every year here. Over the years, this extraordinary region has become much more than a workplace—it has become my second home.
The dramatic combination of fjords, alpine peaks and Arctic light continues to fascinate me every time I step into the mountains. No matter how often I return, the landscape never feels ordinary.
Guiding With Local Knowledge
Guests who travel to the Lyngen Alps are usually looking for something special: untouched snow, breathtaking scenery and an authentic Arctic experience.
After more than a decade of guiding in the region, I know the mountains, weather patterns and maritime snow conditions in great detail. This local knowledge allows me to choose the best possible tours for the conditions while always putting safety first.
Just as important is my close connection with the local community. Working together with people who live here gives me insights that go far beyond guidebooks or maps and helps create experiences that feel genuine and personal.
More Than Just Ski Touring
For me, the mountains have never been just a workplace or a sport. They are where I feel most alive, where I continue to learn, and where I love sharing unforgettable experiences with others.
When you join me in the Lyngen Alps, you are not simply booking a guided ski tour. You are exploring one of the world's most spectacular ski touring destinations with someone who knows the region intimately and genuinely loves calling it home.
