Ski Touring in the Lofoten Islands – Tailor-Made Ski Touring Days for You and Your Group

The Lofoten Islands lie southwest of Tromsø, forming a spectacular chain of islands that stretches far out into the Atlantic. Along their dramatic coastline, rugged peaks rise directly from the sea. Deep-blue fjords, alpine couloirs and expansive snow slopes come together within a remarkably compact area. During the ascent, the open Norwegian Sea remains far below you, while higher up the views extend across sharp summits and snow-covered islands.

As a certified mountain and ski guide, I guide you and your private group exclusively on request. We agree on the dates, number of guided days and vertical metres individually. Each day, I adapt the choice of tour and safety management to your experience, fitness level and the current conditions.

Please note that this is a guiding-only service. You book professional mountain and ski guiding, including tour planning, directly with me, while your group arranges accommodation, travel and meals independently.

Guiding and Tour Planning

As a certified mountain guide, I take care of the complete professional preparation and guiding of your ski touring days. Beforehand, we discuss the type and difficulty of tours you are looking for, as well as the size of your group.

In the Lofoten Islands, I reassess the weather, snowpack and avalanche conditions each day and adapt the route, pace and length of the tour accordingly. A wide variety of terrain and aspects can be found within a relatively small area, giving us considerable flexibility when choosing each day’s objective—although the natural conditions ultimately determine what is possible.

Guiding Fee on Request

I will prepare an individual guiding proposal for your group. The guiding fee depends on the requested dates, the number of guided days, the group size and the scope of the guiding service.

The proposal will clearly set out both the guiding fee and the arrangements for my own travel and accommodation expenses. This means you will know exactly which costs are associated with my services before booking.
