Lofoten, Norway
Every year we are drawn to the Lofoten Islands in spring - and every time we are amazed by the scenic beauty. This group of islands far north of the Arctic Circle uniquely combines rugged mountain peaks, deep blue fjords and the endless light of the north.
Here we climb over gentle firn slopes or through steep gullies to peaks that rise directly out of the sea. Once at the top, the view extends over a backdrop of rock, snow and water that you won't find anywhere else - a mixture of Arctic wildness and the vastness of the sea.
The variety of tours is huge: from relaxed pleasure tours with panoramic descents to alpine peaks with a challenging character. And the best thing is: even if the weather changes, we can always find worthwhile destinations thanks to the variety of options - because the mountains here show their most beautiful side in every mood.
Our cosy base is in the fishing village of Henningsvær. From here we set off on the best tours - with starting distances of 10 to 45 minutes, we reach the most beautiful tour destinations in the area. This flexibility allows us to make the most of the prevailing conditions every day. We return in the afternoon, enjoy the atmosphere in Henningsvær or nearby Svolvær - and maybe even see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky in the evening.

Accommodation in the Trevarefabrikken
Trevarefabrikken in Henningsvær is a former factory that now serves as a stylish boutique hotel and cultural centre. Large industrial windows, raw concrete walls and handcrafted details create a special blend of rugged charm and Nordic cosiness. Ten individually designed rooms combine design, history and sea views. The café, bar and restaurant offer regional cuisine and are a meeting place for music and culture. A sauna and yoga room with a view of the sea round off your stay perfectly.

Inquiry
During the ski touring weeks, I adapt the difficulty of the descents and tours to the requirements and ability of the group. However, a confident parallel turn in different types of snow and fluent skiing in terrain with a gradient of up to 35 degrees are essential to really enjoy the tours. We cover an average of 1000 metres of ascent, which takes us around 3 hours.
