Geführte Wanderungen in den Lyngen Alpen, Norwegen

Lonely and unspoilt under the midnight sun

Hiking in the Lyngen Alps

Far Away. Closer to Yourself.

Guided hiking in the Lyngen Alps – where glaciers, fjords and untouched Arctic wilderness meet.

Peaceful, remote and breathtakingly beautiful. Surrounded by the endless light of the Midnight Sun, where the days seem to go on forever.

For those who seek tranquillity, authentic adventures and the freedom of the Arctic wilderness.

People who come to the Lyngen Alps are not looking for records—they're looking for something real. North of the Arctic Circle, rugged peaks rise above sparkling fjords, glaciers meet remote valleys, and every step takes you deeper into the wilderness while bringing you closer to yourself.

These guided hikes are for those who want to slow down and truly experience the landscape. No crowds, no busy trails—just crisp Arctic air, soft northern light and the feeling of exploring an untouched world.

Some days lead to quiet summits overlooking the sea, while others follow glacial rivers into remote mountain valleys. The silence of the Lyngen Alps is powerful. Those who embrace it discover what it truly means to be out in nature.

I keep the hiking programme flexible and adapt each day to the weather, the group's interests and fitness level. Shorter or longer hikes, as well as glacier walks, can easily be included to create the perfect hiking experience in the Lyngen Alps.

For many years, it has been my home away from home. Its warm hospitality, relaxed atmosphere and central location make it the perfect base for exploring the Lyngen Alps on foot.

The spacious rooms and cosy lounge areas are ideal for relaxing after a day in the mountains, enjoying coffee and homemade cake, planning the next day's hike or sharing experiences with fellow guests. How Demanding Are the Hikes on This Hiking Week in the Lyngen Alps?

The hikes in the Lyngen Alps are designed for mountain hikers with a good level of fitness. Depending on the route, we spend up to eight hours in the mountains. The trails follow a mix of established mountain paths and sections of rocky, off-trail terrain. Sure-footedness, confidence on uneven ground and an enjoyment of longer mountain hikes are essential. I always adapt the pace to suit the group.
